Taxation - Domestic and International
During his 27 year career, Mr Lehman has represented United States persons
and companies in transactions involving almost every area of the Internal
Revenue code.
In
the field of international law, Mr. Lehman has had extensive experience
with all areas of the Internal Revenue Code that apply to both non-resident
aliens and foreign corporations investing or conducting business in the
U.S.; and U.S. citizens and residents and domestic corporations conducting
business abroad.
Estate
& Gift Taxation
Litigation Strategy and Trusts
Mr. Lehman has broad experience in all phases of estate and gift tax law
applying to both non-resident aliens and U.S. citizens and residents.
This has included tax planning for numerous multi million dollar estates;
and the resolution of numerous controversies among a decedent's beneficiaries.
Asset
Protection Planning
In today's litigation oriented society all of us face the risk of loss
of significant assets as a result of seemingly insignificant actions.
Because of this, individuals and businesses of all sizes must be prepared
to protect assets by every legal means available. Mr. Lehman has been
involved in this area of the law throughout his career.
Lloyd's
of London
Lloyd's of London, the venerable 300 year old British insurance institution
and market place has had many changes in the last decade. The principal
one being the ability for investors to underwrite insurance premium income
at Lloyd's with limited versus unlimited liability.
Published
Works
During the course of his career, he has authored a number of scholarly
works to better inform both the public and the bar on numerous areas of
Federal taxation. This includes the writing and editing of a book for
the Florida Department of Commerce that was eventually translated into
four languages and distributed throughout the world, "A Guide to
International Business and Investment Opportunities," and writing
over fifty articles that have been published in both law journals and
the local and national press.
